Surrender

Aug 13
1 min read

Lean back

into the unknown

where Pride cannot claim

and theorize what is known.

To the place of subtle comfort

when you loosen your grip

and fall into a faith

which once surrendered cannot slip.

Where image takes a backseat

and you can claim your true religion.

No fear of being too loving

or a gracious ostracisation.

For Pride prevents my falling

yet disconnects me from the Way;

my need for moral highground

and control in every day,

my fear of choosing God

over new age ideology,

prevents my yearned for surrender

to my now cloistered Christology.
